Review; Lush Lip Scrub

For a while I have been wanting to try a lip scrub but I could never find anywhere that did them apart from lush. I was very sceptical about trying this product due to the nature of the product etc, I ended up buying the bubble-gum flavoured one in the end.

Firstly I found that £5.50 for a 25g pot was extremely expensive and by the looks of things I didn't think it would last more than a week. However the pot is filled right to the lid which I didn't expect at all because most companies wont fill their products right to the top which was a lovely surprise.

The lip scrub smells really nice but it doesn't smell of bubble-gum a the lid says, it smells really sweet and it wasn't exactly what I had expected. It has a really nice texture once it has been applied onto your lips, however it does seem to get everywhere on application which is a put off.

The product itself does make your lips a lot softer and removes any dead skin etc from them. Once you feel like you need the lip scrub to come off (I'd recommend leave on for 5-10seconds) you can lick it off and eat it which at first seemed a little strange but it tastes really nice and it is safe to eat so don't worry about it. Once you have removed the scrub from your lips you are required to place lip balm on to help soften your lips further.

Overall I would rate the Lush Lip Scrub a 6 out of 10 because I think that the product is extremely overpriced for what it is, I also don't like the way it gets everywhere when you apply it to your lips. However I do like the taste and how well it works as it has defiantly improved my lips and made them a lot softer which is a bonus.
